2022 Prom
By Carter Coffman & Michael White
Every year the Seniors, Juniors, and some Sophomores go to the prom and celebrate the end of another school year. Students from other schools are allowed to attend with proper paperwork. Students are encouraged to bring a date, a friend, or a group to make the most of the event. This year the prom took place on April 30th, and it was a blast. This was the first prom that the school co-sponsored with parents since pre-covid times. Before the prom, most students took part in the promenade at the high school where each couple was announced and their parents, family, and friends took pictures. This year's prom was held at Hillcrest Country Club with a Roaring 20s/Gatsby theme. The Country Club is less than 5 minutes away from the school, and Hillcrest served some pretty good food -- salad, chicken, pasta, beef, and much more. Students also could get air tattoos, and a very popular one was the Pittsburgh Pirates logo which was a favorite among the senior boys (you know which ones). There was also a photobooth where many students took pictures and selfies with their friends and dates.
