Awakening our final chapter
Senior sunrise is more than just the sun coming home from the horizon; it's the last sunrise with the class we have been together with for the past 12 years. It's crazy to wake up and realize it's going to be the last first day of high school. Many seniors got together, in addition to some staff members, and stood on the football field, watching the sunrise. There were signs made to hold in photos, and blankets laid on the ground where seniors sat and talked about their plans for after high school. All of the seniors watched the sky light up, symbolizing the start of our final year of high school with coffees in hands and hoodies on. There was so much excitement that morning, marking the beginning of a year full of “lasts” - last homecoming, last first day, last time walking these halls. It was time to be present and to be with friends.
Seniors Sam Conte and Erica Henderson stated, “Senior sunrise was a great way to start the year. It was so much fun to see everyone come together again before we start the biggest year of our lives”.
So, seniors - hold onto this feeling. Let this moment - this sunrise - be the spark you carry through homecoming, exams, college applications, and all the milestones ahead. Make this year count and the best year ever!
