The senior parking lot just got a major makeover and it’s all thanks to this year’s class of seniors. Students were given the chance to transform their parking spaces into works of art, turning the once plain blacktop into a colorful display of school spirit and personal style. This year 88 seniors participated in painting senior parking spots. The new tradition isn’t just about fun and creativity, each senior paid a $25 fee to reserve and paint their spot with proceeds going toward funding the senior class trip and prom decorations. The class of 2026 had the most participants since this project was started a few years ago!
After seniors secured their parking pass and had their design approved, they had time in the summer to come out and paint their spots. Many seniors had their families and friends help them paint. If you know the seniors, you will see how much each spot is a reflection of their unique style. “I wanted my spot to show off my personality,” said Senior Skylar Brown, whose parking space features a bold cheetah print design. “Every day when I park, it makes me smile.” Once the spots were painted, students proudly posed for pictures with their cars parked in front of their creations. As the school year continues, the senior lot will stand as a colorful reminder of the Class of 2026’s creativity, unity, and school spirit: painted one parking space at a time.
Thank you to Mrs. Wagner and Dr. Roland for organizing the fundraiser, which took a lot of the summer to make it happen.
Enjoy the extended drone footage of senior parking spots above... keep in mind, I'm a newbie, and it was windy!
