On April 9 2026, Burrell High School hosted the Special Needs Prom at Hillcrest Country Club. This was the Bucconeers first year hosting the event but the turnout was amazing. The event included students from throughout the region from different schools. The Bucco buddies went and enjoyed the event they have been fundraising for since the beginning of the school year. The dance started with a magician to get everyone excited. The students were then served a delicious lunch followed by Rita's Italian Ice. After eating lunch, the students had the opportunity to go enjoy the dance floor or even just explore. Crafts were set up including sand art, wind chimes, and coloring. Everyone was dressed to the theme wearing lays and sunglasses. The event was to show that everyone should be included in everything. Everyone had an amazing time dancing the day away.
