On October 22nd, 2025, the Parents Allies Committee held Fireside Chats during AR blocks in the BHS parking lot. Fireside Chats provide the students an opportunity to expand and build friendships with other people and to discuss what their experiences are like here at BHS. Even though this year was a slightly different setup, students, faculty members, and parents all agreed that it was a successful effort in bringing our school community together.
When students arrived, they were asked if they thought Burrell has created an inclusive environment, and 119 out of 126 responded either yes or somewhat. With that progress, Burrell has successfully provided a safer environment to almost all students. Students also noticed the exceeding amount of people who attended this year which was confirmed by Junior Samantha Gregg who said, "More people attended this year compared to previous years." Senior Sydney Scherer offered some optimism with future events such as the fireside chats, "More activities in the future will help continue uniting students."
Students came out to join in despite the cold weather.
Senior Meadow Keyes, Sophomore Ella Toney & Senior Erica Henderson.
Seniors Camryn Brun & Olivia Carney
Seniors Vincent Scherer, Brayden Mell, Gino Giannetti, Junior Cadyn Crawford, & Senior Sam Conte gather to answer questions about the environment at BHS.
Students had an opportunity to hang out and talk around the fires.
