March Madness: The Champions
The championship was a great game to watch with a win by the Florida Gators 65-63 over the Houston Cougars. The game was lead by Houston almost the entire game, and they even had a 12 point lead in the second half until Florida came back and won the game getting a last second turnover to seal the game.
March Madness: Final Four
At the end of Sunday the Elite Eight was over. There are now only the 1 seeds left. The SEC has the most teams left with 2 teams, Florida and Auburn. The ACC has 1 team with Duke. The Big 12 has 1 team left with Houston. There were no exciting upsets for the Elite Eight, but these next 2 games on Saturday, April 5.
March Madness: 32 In, 32 Out
There are officially half the teams left in the tournament. March Madness is now in the Sweet 16. All the 1 seeds are still in a safe, but there were many upsets. In the first round Creighton(9) upset Louisville(8), New Mexico(10) upset Marquette(7), Colorado State(12) had a huge upset against Memphis(5), Drake(11) also had a big upset against Missouri(6), Arkansas(10) upset Kansas(7), Baylor(9) upset Mississippi State(8), and the biggest upset was McNeese(12) beating Clemson(5) who were projected by many people to go pretty far. Sadly, the only team from these upsets to make it past the second round was Arkansas. There was another upset in the second round that was BYU(6) over Wisconsin(3). There are officially no more perfect brackets left. Duke is the favorite to win the tournament now after dominating both of their wins by at least 20 points. McNeese's basketball team also wasn't the only thing people were going crazy about. McNeese is the first team to have a student manager with an NIL deal named Amir Khan.
March Madness: Conference Champs
The Champs are here and ready for the tournament! There were many conference champions, and now there's a whole new look at the tournament. The Champs of the Major divisions were Duke: ACC, Michigan: Big 10, Florida: SEC, and Houston: Big 12. Duke was favored and did not doubt winning the ACC, and so was Houston. Michigan surprised the Big 10 by beating major teams such as Maryland and Wisconsin. Even though Wisconsin did not win, they brought a big surprise in their win over Michigan State. The biggest surprise of the conference championships was most definitely Florida winning the SEC. Everyone was sure that Auburn would win, but they fell short in the semi-final to Tennessee who lost to Florida in the championship by a mind-blowing 86-77 loss. There were two schools from PA that won their conferences, and they were Robert Morris and Saint Francis.

The champions of last year were UConn who are now not even ranked in the top 25 of college basketball. According to ESPN, this year so far Auburn is the overall top seed, Oklahoma is the first team out, and Boise State is the last team in. The SEC has the most teams predicted into the March Madness Tournament with 12 teams, right above the Big 10 who has 11 teams being entered into the tournament.
The most exciting part of this tournament is that you can predict the outcome of the March Madness Tournament just from your phone. There are usually 60-100 million brackets made a year, and there has never been a perfect bracket created. Good luck to all these athletes in the tournament.
