Reading Railroad Club Collects Books for Read Across America Book Drive

Students in the Reading Railroad Club worked together to create posters to promote the event during Read Across America Week. These posters were hung around the school to display a visual reminder for students and staff to donate to the book drive.

To make the book drive more exciting, the Reading Railroad Club incorporated a Dunkin gift card raffle. For every book a student donated, their name was entered into a raffle to win one of the two $10 gift cards. Reading Railroad members sat outside the cafeteria, reminding students about the book drive and encouraging them to donate with the Dunkin gift card incentive. 

Some donated books will be set aside for the upcoming Read-a-Thon next year. Other books will be donated to local libraries to provide books for those who need them most.
