BHS celebrated Inclusion Day with Bocce fun for all!
On April 16, during all AR Blocks, BHS participated in a friendly bocce "tournament" to celebrate Inclusion Day and to kick off Spring Break. Students and staff came together to play a few rounds of bocce and to celebrate the start of the break. It was a simple event, but it brought lots of smiles and was a great way to end the week on a high note. The tournament was sponsored by the Burrell Unified Bocce Team, who provided great giveaways and prizes for the participants.
For many students, it was their first time playing bocce, and this tournament turned into a great learning experience and exposure to the sport.
Before the tournament began, students and teachers explained the rules, threw the balls, and taught us until we got a hang of the game. As the matches continued, students began to pick up on the sport, leading them to enjoy it way more then they initially thought!
