LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

Over the next two weeks you will research how streaming platforms evolved and went on to dominate the broadcasting industry internationally.
You will identify the different strategies employed by the most popular streamers to entice consumers to their platforms through competitive pricing, volume of content and by providing more unique and original programming.
You will also examine how algorithms are employed to tell us what we should be watching.

OUTCOME: You will deliver a presentation that includes a history detailed assessment of the streaming industry with a particular focus on how they appeal to the 18-25 year old market.
The presentation should also assess how each service is branded, explain the difference between the services such as SVOD, AVOD, etc. and note any areas where they could improve their offering.
This detailed research report should serve as a foundation for the creative development phase in which you will create your 'own' streaming service under the 'Livewire' banner.
