Hi! My name is ____ and I am the _____ at Glisten, the leading advocacy organization for K-12 LGBTQ+ youth. I was exploring your community, and I was wondering if it would be alright for me to share our 2027 National School Climate Survey, which is about LGBTQ+ youth’s school experiences. Would that be okay with y’all?
Information from this survey will be used to continue our work towards building safe and affirming school environments for all students. We want to reach more LGBTQ+ youth and especially ensure that we are able to uplift the voices of LGBTQIA2S+ BIPOC, trans and nonbinary, rural and southern students in the survey.
Thank you so much in advance, and please let us know if there is anything that you are working on that we can help collaborate on or promote!
60-SECOND VERSION (Students)
Hi everyone — my name is [name], and I’m [identity, age and/or grade, if you want to share]. I’m a member (or alumni) of Glisten’s National Student Council.
I wanted to let you know that Glisten’s National School Climate Survey is now open, and it’s a chance for LGBTQ+ students to share what school is really like for them.

This survey is especially important for students whose voices are often left out — like students of color, trans and nonbinary students, students with disabilities, and students in rural communities.
[Optional: Share why this matters to you — a school experience, current events, a feeling, or why being heard is important.]
