1. Complete the athletic registration process in the Genesis Parent Portal.

   • Athletic Registration will be located under "Forms".

   • Complete all fields and click on Submit.

2. Download Preparticipation Physical Form below. If unable to print the form, they are available in the Nurse's Office and the Main Office.

3. Complete the Preparticipation Physical Form. Portions will be completed by you & a physician, APN or PA. Submit the Medical Eligibility Form ONLY to the Nurse's Office a minimum of two weeks prior to the start of the season.

4. Fill out the Asthma Treatment Plan only if you have asthma. Completed by you & a physician and submit to the Nurse's Office in person or email vborden@burlcoschools.org a minimum of two weeks prior to the start of the season. If you have asthma, you MUST submit an Asthma Treatment Plan to the Nurse's office prior to tryouts.

5. If the physical exam is more than 90 days since completion, you must submit the Health History Update form as well. If the physical exam is more than 365 days from the start of the season, a new exam is necessary.

Yes. A current physical (within the last 365 days) must be on file with the nurse before you can participate in any sport.

If a sport is not offered at WesTech, you may arrange with your sending district to play on their team. Please note the following:

• You may leave early for games only at your sending district — not practices.

• Transportation is your responsibility. WesTech does not provide transportation to or from your sending district for games.

• Your sending district must provide WesTech with a copy of the game schedule so that early release can be arranged when necessary.

You can participate in multiple sports (fall, winter, spring) but you must complete the sign-up process for each season and ensure your physical remains valid.

Transportation to all WesTech practices and away games is provided by the school. A 5:30 late bus is also available for athletes after practices.

Students must remain in good academic standing to participate in sports. For fall and winter, the student must have earned at least 30 credits in the previous school year. For spring, the student must have earned at least 15 credits in semester 1 (MP1 and MP2).

Log into the Parent Genesis and on the left go to Athletics - Eligibility. If they are cleared and ready to go it will be green. If something is missing or they are ineligible, it will be red.
