I am very excited about my seventh year at Burkburnett ISD. Having taught middle school math for 28 years in the East Texas/Tyler area, we moved to Wichita Falls in 2019, and this year, I will be experiencing my 36th year as a middle school math teacher. Having taught all grade levels, from sixth grade through 9th grade Algebra, I draw on the resources from those years to better prepare my students for the years ahead.
This year, I will be teaching 7th grade Advanced Math, and 8th grade Math. All of these students will take the 8th grade STAAR test this year, and will be ready for Algebra for next year!
I am married to Mr. McAdams, BMS Texas History teacher, and we have three daughters, three sons-in-law, and four grandchildren. We live in Wichita Falls, and enjoy spending time with our amazing grandchildren and tending to our chickens!.
Math has always been my focus, and I try to build confidence, and face fears in my classroom. We try to laugh daily, and work on becoming better problem solvers! I look forward to this year, and getting to know my students.
If you need to contact me, email is generally the easiest form of communication. Contact me at Robin.mcadams@burkburnettisd.org. You may also contact the school and leave a message if you need to speak with me. I will return your call as soon as possible.
I look forward to learning with my students this year!
