My name is Michelle McCleskey (Brogdon). I am the Girls Athletics Coordinator. This is my 26th year teaching and coaching at Burkburnett Middle School. I am a graduate of Burkburnett High School, played basketball at Cameron University and graduated from Midwestern State University. I teach 6 PreAthletics, 7/8 Athletics, 7/8 Intramurals and 6/7/8 Physical Education. I coach 8 Volleyball, 8 Basketball and Track. I spend my spare time watching my husband and two sons play sports, reading, watching movies, cooking and playing with our puppies. My favorite time of year is Fall! I look forward to a great year!

In athletics, we focus on fundamental skills and game play. Track skills are also taught. The athletes participate in strength and conditioning at least two days per week. We use 2Words character lessons on a weekly basis. This class will participate in FitnessGram testing. You can receive results by emailing your child's athletics/pe teacher in May of each school year.
In 7/8 Intramurals, athletes learn fundamental skills with some game play of volleyball, basketball, track, tennis, soccer, softball and golf. The athletes participate in strength and conditioning at least two days per week. The focus of the class to to learn fundamentals and working towards becoming a better athlete.
