My name is Amanda Norwood. I am excited to be entering my fifteenth year with Burkburnett Independent School District! I serve as the Dyslexia Therapist at Tower Elementary. I am continuing my professional development with the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. I am proud to say that BISD is committed to providing quality therapy via the Take Flight program developed by the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders. I was honored to be accepted into this program; and I truly believe that I am receiving the best information from the leaders in this field.

I was born and raised in Wichita Falls, TX. I am happily married with a three year old daughter, second grade son, and a stepson who is a Sophomore! Life is good!
