Students will learn the beginning steps of how video games are created and receive information on how they can join the Charger Game Design Academy at Bullitt East to learn even more about video games and computer science.

Hike amazing trails just minutes from Mount Washington! We'll focus on trails in Broad Run Park and visit the Riparian Ramble Trail, Moss-Gibbs Woodland Garden, & the Karst Climb Trail. Comfortable athletic shoes or hiking boots should be worn. You'll also need a water bottle/hydration pack.
**Note: To attend this camp, you must complete a field trip permission form (required) and a medication form (if needed).

Students will use natural light to create desired effects and complete a photography scavenger hunt. Students will edit their photos using editing software and have the opportunity to print several of their favorite shots from the week on high-quality photo paper to display.

This camp is welcome to all ability levels, including beginners to yoga. Students will learn the basics of yoga, become stronger and more flexible, and learn healthy ways to deal with stress. In addition to yoga classes, students will learn mindfulness practices, which teaches students skills in building attention, focus, and self-regulation. Activities will engage in hands-on activities, such as arts and crafts.

RPGs - also known as Role-Play Games will introduce you to a new level of gaming! We'll begin in the world of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) with a Session Zero for character creation then move into a One-Shot campaign. Next we'll move into the world of Marvel Super Heroes where you'll become the Heroes (or the Villains!). Finally we'll move into an era long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away. Will you choose the Dark Side, the Light Side, or be more neutral in the ways of the Force? An electronic device with access to the Internet would be useful but not necessary to access online books and character sheets.
Bring your own device (phone, tablet, or laptop) for internet access. You can bring your own dice and notebook (I'll have extra if anyone is in need:)

In this session students will use a photographic printing process that creates cyan-blue prints or "cyanotypes." They will create one cyanotype by arranging various objects on their chemically enhanced paper in the sun and another cyanotype by inverting a photographic image into a negative and transferring that image to their cyanotype paper.

We will be growing plants from seeds, cuttings, and dividing perennials. We'll learn about greenhouse production, plant diseases, and how/when to start planting. If you would like to learn more about careers in KY agribusiness, we're going to cover that, too! Come out and join us in Eastside's greenhouse!

If you enjoy working with plants and trees, have we got a camp for you! We will be learning about improving the looks of outdoor areas by adding just the right combination of plants and working with the elements of design. We will learn which annuals and perennials are best for Kentucky (and which grow best in sun or shade), pruning practices, and mulch/groundcover selection. We will also identify the existing plants in the landscape and add plants that will compliment them.
