About Me.

My name is Kristen Henriksen. This is my 3rd year at Roby Elementary, but my 20th year as a teacher. I taught for 17 years in Hardin County. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades as a classroom teacher. I have also spent many years teaching theatre and dance. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University in 2002. I also graduated with a Master's Degree in Literacy from Nova Southeastern University in 2008.

I have been married to my husband, Nathan, for 18 years. We don't have children, but we have 4 cats (Samwise, Falkor, P. Kitty, and Leonard Nimoy) and 1 dog (Oliver Queen). We live in Hardin County in the quaint village of Sonora.

I have many things that I love: kids, teaching, reading, all things Disney, theatre and singing. I have been a part of the Hardin County Playhouse for more than 10 years and I serve on their Board of Directors as well as manage the box office. I participate in acting on stage and directing the recently formed HCP Little Theatre for grades 1-8.
