Some Problems With Plastic

Our Issue

Gulp. Another animal was just sentenced to death because of us and plastic pollution. Animals are dying because of plastic pollution. Plastic is ripping and getting to the point where it looks like food and the animals eat it! They are also getting entangled in plastic pollution like 6 rings, plastic fishing nets, plastic shopping bags, and many more objects. Animals will continue to die if we do not stop polluting the ocean.

Our SOLUTION

Our solution to plastic pollution is to recycle more in the cafeteria. We will first persuade the lunchroom workers and Ms. Wright to let us use some of the garbage cans to recycle. We would then inform the whole school on the problem with plastic. After that we would try and persuade teachers to remind their students to recycle in the lunchroom. Finally, to promote recycling in grade levels, we will create a challenge for all the grades, and have an incentive that is cost effective. Doing this will help reduce pollution because we believe that people are not recycling enough.
