*Learn to number measures (all region music)
*Learn to find the key of a song using flats and sharps
*Essential Music Books
EE1-EE8-Learning basic theory, posture, sight singing and
part singing (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass)
Friday-solo singing day
*Sing a selection for a critique
Unit 2: Vocal Music-8th-12th grades
October-December 2025
Monday and Wednesday-singing days
*Warm ups using major scale solfege
-focus on skips-Example: do, mi, so, do
Assessment-Listening tests
*Work on Pride of America for performance for
Veteran's Day celebration
When All region is over begin work on Christmas Music for performance.
Music will be in 2 or 3 part so we will continue work on part singing
Tuesday and Thursday-theory days
Warm ups using major scales with steps and skips.
Listening tests and sight reading skills will be evaluated.
