History

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND  

The dream of the school administration. Faculty and PTA is now partly realized.  They optimistically looking to serve more students in the near future. Such  is possible because of the 1.787 square meter lot generously donated by the Suntay family at purok 9 Sta. Monica Hagonoy, Bulacan. A one unit 2 storey 8 classroom  building (2002) was constructed in such acquired lot thru the efforts of Governor Josie M. Dela Cruz and Vice Governor Rely Plemenco in coordination of Mayor Felix V. Ople, Fortunately a 2 storey 4-classroom building was also constructed (2006) where third year students started using the classroom to make whole day classes in all Year levels. After the fencing and upgrading of such lot, the freshmen and  Sophomore students were transferred there (2009-2012). Now, we have Twenty-one (21) Academic Classrooms in SMNHS main, and twenty-one (21) classrooms in SMNHS extension. (Dr. Federico C. Suntay Memorial National High School).

  Two of them were constructed in 2007 and another two classrooms were completed in 2008. Though the generosity of Cong. Marivic R. Sy Alvarado, another two classrooms were built. Another four in 2011 And additional four classrooms in 2013 and in 2017, 3 storey buildings with six classroom built in 2019, and in 2020 another 4 storey twelve classroom constructed in SMNHS Main Campus, and an additional of 4 storey eight classroom were ongoing through the efforts of the school head and the government, more school buildings are proposed through the unsurpassed effort of DepED and the Provincial government respectively,  In the year 2016, Sta, Monica National High School-Extension Campus offered Senior High School with TVL, GAS and HUMMS in 2020 as an additional strand.

  In this time, we can say without hesitation that SMNHS Extension is a dream turned to be a reality.

SIZE OF SCHOOL

  Sta Monica National HS is a LARGE category school with current population of 1,873 students and 83 teachers in JHS and SHS.
