If you are looking at ways to help your child become a better writer please consider the following:
- Reading NewsELA articles (they all know how to login) and completing the multiple choice quizzes and writing prompts.
- Read a young adult book together and write a book report. Book report templates can be found online.
- Learn more vocabulary words. Flocabulary.com is a great site with fun ways to learn new words.
Below you will find all important writing class information. If there is something you can't find or still have questions about, please email one of the fantastic teachers listed above.
Below is the Daily Notebook Check Rubric. Notebook checks DO NOT happen everyday. Anything in the grade book that says Notebook Check has been assessed using the following rubric. This is a completion grade. Skill based grades will be given once students have written their first drafts of their Unit 1 stories. Drafting begins 9/26.
Here is an example of the Notebook Check Rubric
Upcoming Dates!
