Program Overview
Welcome to the Community Umpiring Program your first step as an umpire under the Baseball Australia Officiating Accrediation Scheme.
This program is brought to you by and supported by Baseball South Australia and the Baseball Umpires Association of South Australia and the Baseball SA Umpire Academy.
There are no pre-requisites to enrol in this program.
To obtain national accreditation, recognised by Baseball Australia, as a Community Umpire the following requirements must be met:
Successful completion of the Officiating General Principles course
Completion of Working with Childrens Check
To maintain your accreditation level you must, every 3 years:
Officiate in at least three games
Attend rules and mechanics update sessions either in person or online (1 hr)
Continue to be registered with Baseball SA as an umpire
Accreditations which lapse for more than 2 years require the umpire to start again from scratch and complete all levels again.
