Nabetse Baruc Blas Miranda, MPH is a Mexican Researcher at the Physical Activity and Healthy Lifestyles Department in the Center for Nutrition and Health Research (CINyS) and as a research assistant at the Center for Population Health Research (CISP) in the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) of Mexico. Nabetse obtained his MPH in Nutrition from the School of Public Health of Mexico (ESPM). His early work evaluated greenspace exposure and obesity in the Mexican adult population, with collaboration from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and Boston University (BU). Recently, he has extended his research to examine the effect of green space exposure and main public health issues such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension. Additionally, Nabetse collaborates in the adaptation of the 24 hours movement behavior guidelines for the Mexican population. He is looking forward to starting a Phd in Epidemiology in order to study the influence of the environment as a determinant in population health. Meanwhile, he enjoys participating in outdoor recreational activities (such as biking, hiking and camping).
