Welcome to the School Counselor Webpage
Welcome to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Middle School Counselor's page!
I'm your school counselor, Mrs. Surman (formerly known as Ms. Episcopo)! Since March, school life has been extremely tough for all of us. I understand that parents are overwhelmed with our students being at home full or part time and students are overwhelmed with a new way of learning. I want you all to know that I am always here to help. Please do not hesitate to call or email me with any questions or concerns:
Phone: 856-767-9480 Extension: 1214
When outside of school, if you need emergency mental health support, tell a trusted adult and call 911, your local hospital emergency department, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at: 1-800-273-TALK (8255), or text "HOME" to 741741.
School Counselor Mission Statement: The mission of the Dwight D. Eisenhower School Counseling Program is to serve as an advocate for all students at DDE. My goal is to provide a comprehensive counseling program that focuses on academic, career and social development. As middle school is a period growth and discovery of self identity, it is important to empower our students to maximize their potential and excel in a diverse society.
As a Professional School Counselor, I will work with students on an individual basis, in small groups and in their classrooms. The focus of the counseling program is to enhance academic skills, career awareness, and personal/social skills. We also attend parent-teacher conferences at the request of the parent/guardian or teacher, as our schedule allows.
