Year 7 and Year 8 students embarked on an advocacy project in the last few weeks. The aim was for them to create a short project to advocate for a charity of their choice.
Through their projects, students had to advocate for the following charities:
Say it with Kay
Sekolah Bisa
Restoring Borneo Wildlife
Saraswati Learning Centre
Operation Smile
Year 7 and 8 students produced more than 50 videos! Year 7 students had a free choice as to what to produce, whereas our Year 8 students focused on developing a game to advocate for their charity. Our MIT Youth Ambassadors and CAS students selected the top five projects for each charity. Why them? Because our Year 9 Youth Ambassadors and CAS students in years 11, 12 and 13 led the whole project.
WHAT IS YOUR ROLE?
1) Watch the videos for each charity
2) Choose which videos you find most convincing
3) Donate to that charity by making a payment to the HSBC account which details are on the charity page. Please donate until Thursday 2 July to allow us to see which charity collected the most money. Thank you!
A special thank you to the following people for their help, support, vision, creativity and tons of patience!
