It’s B’ShERT.

Welcome to Brooklyn’s newest Reform congregation… with a history over 100 years long.

Formed from the consolidation of Progressive Temple Beth Ahavath Sholom and Temple Beth Emeth v'Ohr Progressive Shaari Zedek, Beth Shalom v'Emeth Reform Temple is a welcoming and inclusive Jewish community for all. Just as the Yiddish word beshert means “meant to be,” this consolidation brings together two communities with rich histories and dynamic memberships.

B'ShERT is a Jewish community eager to write the next century of Brooklyn history together. Contact us for membership information, or donate online.

Tot Shabbat now on both Friday and Saturday mornings at 10 am!

Our Seder Workshops are continuing Tuesday evenings at the Cortelyou Road Library through the first week of April.

Our consolidated website will launch soon. Meanwhile, keep track of upcoming events in the calendar below, on the legacy TBE site, on our Facebook pages, on Twitter or just stop by and say hello! Our temple newsletter is also online for your enjoyment.
