When it comes to colleges, there is no shortage of news being exchanged in the high school world. This news ranges from scholarships earned to college acceptance letters, and everything in-between. However, have we ever stopped to think about how much of that is true, and how much of it is just as fake as the existence of a round earth? I think not.
Recently, I’ve had the dishonor of talking with one senior in particular, Brody Smith. Mr. Smith was recently awarded the UM Presidential Scholarship. However, with a check that big, what are the odds it’s real? This reporter would say slim. When prompted for a response, Smith simply answered, “Go Grizz,” which is an undoubtedly controversial statement from a controversial man.
