Partnering with the Bozeman Schools Foundation organization, Pack the Sack, Gallatin High’s Key Club members are committed to raising money to see that no student will go hungry. While the Bozeman Schools Foundation has noted that one in every eight elementary school students in the valley face a hunger crisis, Key Club was, and is, committed to change this glaring statistic by doing just one thing: selling cotton candy.
At five dollars per bag, Key Club student volunteers went the extra mile on March 24th and 31st to sell cotton candy after school. The club later reported selling 60 bags of cotton candy and raising $300.00 in total for the Pack the Sack organization. Thanks to Key Club, these donations will help feed dozens of students around the valley as a donation as small as $6.50 can provide a student with five healthy meals over a weekend.
