School is out for the summer in just a few short weeks. With students' time being freed significantly, that means opportunities for travel. This includes traveling to see family, for sports, for volunteer work, or just heading somewhere for fun.
After surveying a group of GHS students, the majority responded that they are going on some form of a trip out of town this summer. 76.1% of the surveyed group responded with "Yes," they are leaving town, and 19.7% responded with "Maybe." Data shows that many students will be leaving Bozeman for some period of time this summer.
The places students are visiting vary just as much as their reasons for travel. GHS students from the sample group will be scattered across five continents this summer, North America, South America, Oceania, Europe and Africa, visiting countries within those continents. Students will also be visiting many states, from Florida to California. Across the globe, Gallatin High School students will be getting out into the world.
Getting out of town is exciting for many, and with travel restrictions lessening by the day, many can travel like they did before the COVID-19 pandemic. Whether by car, plane, boat, or train, students will be leaving town. Whether camping in the woods of Montana, heading to a concert in a big city, volunteering in another community, or spending time with family and friends who live far away, this summer will be a blast for many.
