Ellie Iszler is a senior at Gallatin High School and one of Raptor Report’s Copy Editors and reporters. She enjoys learning new things, such as 1900s history, geology of Montana, and wildlife ecology. Ellie has one sibling, an older brother named Ian, and a pair of amazing parents.
She is also fond of reading fantasy novels like The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien and classics like The Odyssey, or any incredibly dense non-fiction books that makes Grace Ryan shake her head in disbelief each week at newspaper meetings when Ellie presents it to her. As well, she writes old, little poems or stories in her spare time.
As for other non-bookworm hobbies, she likes paddleboarding at the Hyalite reservoir, listening to upbeat music, wearing colorful flannels, and birdwatching around her neighborhood. And speaking of home, Ellie is a Bozeman native and proud of it. Bozeman is also where she intends to stay for college after graduation, and hopefully for life.
To find her, search through the stacks of the public library, at any good pasta restaurants in town, or at any park with a sunny seating area in the summer.
As well, to contact her about any questions relating to Raptor Report, please email her at Ellie.Iszler@bsd7students.org.
