Tech Resource Vetting and Student Privacy Protection

Below is the process staff go through to vet 3rd party technology resources to ensure student privacy is protected.

Teachers who use 3rd party resources that have passed the vetting process, but have not signed the Districts Terms of Service must anonymize student logins. Anonymization allows students to login in to a 3rd party resource without disclosing their name. It is important to note that vendors may still collect information such as location and track activity a student makes within the 3rd party resource. If you have concerns regarding privacy please contact your child's teacher. A parent may elect not to have their child utilize a particular 3rd party resource. If this is the case, please notify your child's teacher and your child will receive an alternate activity covering similar content.
