Bozeman School District (BSD7) uses the Montana Common Core State Standards to guide instruction and develop rich mathematical learning experiences for students.

BSD7 strives to develop students who have deep, conceptual understanding of mathematical concepts. We want our young mathematicians to understand that math is exciting and creative. It is not about the memorization of rote algorithms and processes; instead, we want to build math minds that notice patterns and make connections, engage in productive struggle, approach problems in many ways and think critically. With a focus on the 8 Mathematical Practices and through engaging learning experiences, we can develop in our students a deep conceptual understanding of mathematics.
