My Name is Dylan Rollot, I am an avid triathlete and lover of all things mechanical. Here is a short page about me and some personal achievements I would like to share throughout my time in high school, as well as in the IB career-related program for engineering. I would also like to thank my parents for being so supportive of me and helping me strive to be a better student every step of the way.
Throughout my time at Southridge, I became part of the founding team of the school's robotics club. This was an amazing experience for me, not only professionally, but also socially. Making friends with new people who have similar interests as me. Building robots and going to the annual competitions was incredibly fun even with all of the setbacks that come with it, especially from being a new team.
Being outdoors and enjoys all sorts of different activities has always been a passion of mine. This is what likely lead me to my interest in triathlon. My father who also played a big role in this is the main person who really got me into the whole sport to begin with as he had done triathlons as a young adults and thought I would enjoy it too, which I very much do.
As for my post-high school plans go. I will be going to the Oregon Institute of Technology for either mechanical or electrical engineering. This school best fits what I was hoping for when researching colleges since the Wilsonville campus is nearby, and after visiting the campus as well as the labs. It was clear to see their focus on hands-on learning which was a big focus of mine, especially for things such as engineering where physically interacting with things is a very effective way of learning.
