Summary
Due in large part to his belief that a monster only he could see killed his grandfather, 16-year-old Jacob becomes overwhelmed by fear. When his paranoia finally prevents him from going outside, his therapist recommends a trip to Welsh island where his grandfather grew up. Once known as Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, the school now lays tattered after being destroyed in World War II. As Jacob wanders the ruins and begins to unearth the secrets it holds, he discovers that the children who once lived there may have been separated from the rest of society for a reason and they may be still alive and very dangerous.
