3 Days for Earth

Do you guys know that our world is about to go through a mass extinction? Earth is facing global warming, climate change, air & water pollution, etc. Yes, it’s a bitter fact we all have to accept. Fortunately, we can still fix this by doing small things like reducing the usage of disposable items, reducing our unnecessary consumption and not wasting water. To respond to this problem and to celebrate Earth Day at the same time, the SH STUCO has made a digital campaign through our Instagram account. If you don’t mind, please do check it out and help the earth and everything in it.

Our First "Virtual" Class Meeting

Tired of school? Tired of tasks and homework? Tired of studying? Here we are, presenting to you our first virtual class meeting! It’s the first virtual class meeting not only in this academic year, but in the whole history of IPEKA Plus BSD. Consisting of 10 different games, we hope this event can be a place to relieve your stress and get entertained. All the SH STUCO members and the whole student body participated in this event and cooperated pretty nicely. It’s a great experience for the whole SH of IPEKA Plus BSD to have.

Jesus is Alive!

Change. That’s one of the most important evidence of Jesus’s resurrection, and that’s one of the main points of the Easter Service’s sermon on 9th of April 2021. Jesus’s disciples experienced change in their faith, morality, and character after they met with Jesus after his resurrection. That is what Jesus wants from us. Have we changed? Have we become a better person? This is very important and it’s worthy of being contemplated and thought. May Jesus’s resurrection be our hope of being a better person everyday.

Connecting Opposite Sides of the Earth

In this current situation, the internet and technology opens up new opportunities for us. We now can connect with people from all over the world, even from the opposite sides of the earth, literally. Seeing how big this potential is, the SH STUCO of IPEKA Plus BSD offers us students a chance to connect with students from the US, specifically the Christian Heritage School (CHS) students. This is a really great chance for students to build connections, share their culture, and get new international friends.

The Power of Prayer

Knowing the power a prayer holds, The IPEKA Plus BSD Senior High Student Council has prepared a G-Form that the student body may access to convey and submit their pent up conflicts & worries or share the glory that God has gifted them in their life. We understand that sometimes we do need a place to talk to or share to, so here we are. The team will later then carefully read through each and every submissions, praying for those who requested. Lastly, do not worry for submission will be kept anonymous.

Community through Christ

Fellowship is an program held by the SH IPEKA Plus BSD Student Council to worship, share, and grow in our faith. Fellowship comes from two words; fellow and ship. This elaborates 2 people in a boat that thrive to achieve goals whilst agreeing and cooperating with each other. When we come together in fellowship we not only get to worship our God together, but we get to know our fellow peers better. It’s held every two weeks on Thursdays and it gives us the opportunity to learn abundantly of God’s glory.

Confessions of the Anonymous

This may seem new to you, but it’s alright. It’s also new to all of us. The Hall of Confessions is a place where we laugh, cry, or learn together with anonymous people. Your identity, as well as others, wouldn’t be exposed, so don’t be afraid to share any story you have. This hall will be a place where we can express ourselves freely. Hey there! This article is for you writers to read. Who among you finds writing interesting? For those of you who like writing in your free time/leisure, you should check out Essay of The Month. It’s a section in the SH STUCO Site where students can share their work simply by submitting their essays here. By applying their essays, students get a chance to improve their portfolio. Psst, selected essays’ writers will receive a certificate!

Join the Debate Team!

SHSC provides a platform for all of us SH IPEKA Plus BSD students to train our debating skills through the debate team. We highly encourage all of the students to join this team, because it offers a lot of benefits for us. This debate team would help us to gain more experience, enliven our portfolio, and add more to our CVs. There will be 2 language divisions in the debate team, so don’t worry if your English/Bahasa isn’t great. Members of the debate team would get a chance to compete externally as well. It’s definitely a chance worth trying out!

Valentine is coming up!

The “Find My Valentine” fundraiser aims to flood away our student body’s loneliness during the day of love by widening their network. In which this event is also our first collaboration with IPEKA Puri. Every time students purchase the offers we are selling, they will be given access to the matchmaking form. Then, by 14th February the matchmaking pairs will be released so that our student body can independently interact with their newly found friend from the other school.

Year of the Metal Ox

Gathering and eating with our beloved family, door-to-door visiting, hunting for angpaos. That is the moment we all are waiting for. We love this specific moment. Unfortunately, this culture has to be postponed in this Metal Ox year. This unconducive situation forces us to adapt, including the CNY culture.

Yes, this year's Chinese new year does have lots of changes. But don't let this CNY pass by in vain. Let's keep up the CNY spirit, the love and the respect we have to all our families.

Of course we made this site not without clear reasons, but to make it easier for every SH IPEKA Plus BSD student to get the information you need.
