FLIGHT CHIEFS
Must be at least a second-year cadet. Assigned by the Operations Support Commander
These individuals are responsible for:
• Leads the flight in entry and dismissal procedures
• Leads and directs the flight at all Corps and flight functions
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for the flight’s uniform and grooming standards, discipline, and overall classroom demeanor (issues Form 341 as necessary)
• Maintains a high degree of esprit-de-corps and discipline within the flight
• Commands the flight on the 30-step drill
• Ensures flight is meeting Corps goals
• Attends staff meetings
• Ensures cadets keep the classroom clean and tidy
• Recommends cadet of the month to the Operations Support Squadron Commander
• Assists with attendance and functions as a teacher assistant during classroom instruction
ASSISTANT FLIGHT CHIEF
Assigned by the Flight Chief
These individuals are responsible for:
• Assists the Flight Chief in their responsibilities
• Assists the Flight Chief with attendance and dismissal procedures
• Assumes command of the flight in the absence of the Flight Chief
• Receives attendance from element leaders
• Attends staff meetings in the absence of the Flight Chief
FLIGHT ELEMENT LEADERS
Assigned by the Flight Chief
These individuals are responsible for:
• Takes attendance accountability of cadets in their elements
• Oversees the training, including military drills, of cadets within their elements
• Distributes and collects necessary class materials
• Performs other related duties assigned by the Flight Chief
