Mrs. Tanner

Welcome to 5th Grade! My name is Kailey Tanner and I'll be your child's general education teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This will be my second year teaching 5th grade and first year at Carver Elementary. I am excited and looking forward to helping my students learn, grow, and thrive as they prepare for the big transition to middle school.

A little about me... I am happily married to my husband, Ben, who is in the U.S. Army. We have three beautiful children (all girls!) ages 16, 12, & 9  years old. I also have two dogs and one cat and am a huge animal lover. This is our second time living here in the Savannah area and we are hoping to make it our forever home. I am originally from Tampa, Florida (GO Bucs!) and currently reside here in Richmond Hill.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading, painting, gardening, and playing the occasional video game (particularly Fortnite, which gets me brownie points with most of my students!). My favorite colors are light pink and turquoise, I love shopping at Target and online through Amazon, and being outside in the sunshine.
