JISP Ski Program

JISP is around the corner! For our new families, JISP stands for Junior Instructor Ski Program which is offered to all students at Bromley Mountain. School Skate is offered the same days at Riley Rink for those students who wish to skate. Starting Tuesday, January 8, 2019 we will have a half day of school on Tuesdays through March 19, 2019. Students may choose to ski at Bromley or participate in Riley Rink’s school skate program.

JISP Transportation forms are being sent home by hard copy this week. It is imperative that they are returned to school before December 3, 2018.

Please see the Ski Program information below and the following attachments:

Sign Ups: https://bromleyoutingclub.sportngin.com/register/form/411101085

We are not having sign ups at each school again this year. Since we have gone to an online sign up it does not seem to be needed.

Deadlines & Late Fees

New this year - MiniKAP & KAP have the same cutoff date as JISP. A late fee of $50 is charged for signing up after 11/1 and program registration closes on 11/27. A late fee of $20 is charged at the ticket office if passes are not picked up on or before 12/3. A late fee of $20 is charged in rentals if you do not come pick up or get fitted for rentals before the first day of lessons.

**Please know that MiniKAP has a limited amount of space in the kids center, and will fill up quickly.**

Instructors & Volunteers

We always need instructors for JISP and are willing to train. Parents, retired seniors and high school students are great instructors!! We also need 2 on snow coordinators and 1 lodge parent each day. If you know of any parents who drive up but don't ski, this is a great job for them. They also receive the benefits of a ticket just like the instructors do. Any questions here - let me know!

Scholarship applications are DUE before November 1st, 2018.

Applicants must download and fill out the paper application and turn it in to their town chair via the school. We encourage applicants to put some money forth, even if it is $20 as it creates some personal investment and commitment to the program. Scholarships are not accepted for MiniKAP.

Please contact Rachel Mark (Dorset JISP Town Chair) if you have any questions at rbmarkvt@gmail.com
