Stop Sign: Sgt Bravata stopped by with a friendly reminder that the stop sign at the bottom of our driveway is a legitimate stop sign. He has witnessed many cars coming to a 'rolling stop,' rather than a full stop. He wanted to give us a heads up before he started writing tickets.

Spring is a busy time for assessments! In the BRSU, we assess students with the NorthWest Evaluation Association (NWEA) Measures of Academic Progress, and students in grades 3-8 will be taking the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) over the next few weeks. Rather than setting one or two weeks for testing, each team has set their own schedule. You will be hearing from your child’s teacher(s) as to when they will be taking the SBAC and the NWEA. Please remember that this is not something that students should study for! Just get a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast! Here is a letter that explains the SBAC.
2018 Annual and Town Report Data: Here is the link to the Annual Reports.
Proficiency Based Learning Forums: Here are the links to the presentations on the first two Proficiency Based Forums. (All sessions will be held in the Dorset School Library.)
There is a lot happening in our school library! We are in the midst of restructuring shelving units and reorganizing our fiction and non-fiction areas. We'd like to add a puzzle table and comfortable seating for students to enjoy while in the library. Mr. PK has been working with our K-8 students to create two amazing murals!! We are looking for donations of bean bag or Big Joe chairs, maybe a new couch and a puzzle/ game table. Email Heather McGuire, (firstname.lastname@example.org), if you have any items or suggestions. Please stop by and see our exciting changes!!
