I'm Sahan Karawita, first year PhD student in Mathematics at Brown University. I'm interested mainly in Differential Geometry and Guage theories. Other than mathematics and mathematical/theoretical physics, I enjoy traveling and photography. See my CV here [CV not yet updated] and my friends here.
I did my undergraduate at University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. For my undergrad thesis, I studied smooth manifolds and Lie groups with their applications to symmetries in classical mechanics. During my undergrad I participated the Park City Mathematics Institute(PCMI) USS program in 2023 organized by the Institute of Advanced Studty (IAS) on Quantum Computing which was held in Park City UT, USA. In 2019, I won a Bronze medal at International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) held in Israel and in 2022 and 2023 I won First Prizes at International Mathematics Competition for university students.
