Piano Picnic (#3)

We celebrated the third annual Piano Picnic on a rainy afternoon in early May, with an assortment of performances that engaged with the piano and themes of life, death, and nature in a wide variety of ways. Many thanks to Professor Lu Wang for hosting the event and providing the photos and video!

Jessica Shand performs Syrinx (a piece by Debussy for solo flute) on the piano, and Akashleena Mallick reads a selection of poems.

Despite the rainy weather, it was great afternoon of music- and sound-making with and around the piano!
