Shedding Fancy

Karen Chen, a first-year student at Brown, came to visit the piano on a chilly afternoon in early December. Karen has been playing piano since she was five years old, and since coming to Brown, she has started to develop her interest in composition. "Maybe this is cliché, but it's beautiful!" she exclaimed upon seeing the piano. "This one feels more genuine... because all that fanciness has shed away."
