Opening Reception - Erotic Resistance: Performance, Art, and Activism in San Francisco Strip Clubs

Member Spotlight Event: Join Gigi Otálvaro-Hormillosa ‘98 for the opening of a new exhibition based on her dissertation, highlighting the contributions of queer stripper-artist-activists to San Francisco’s labor, LGBTQ, and sex workers’ rights movements.

BAPA Collab Event: Unwind with Brown alumni, friends, and families for a Pride Month pool party at View Ridge Swim & Tennis Club! Join co-hosts Brown Club of Seattle and BAPA for fresh water, a grassy lawn, pickleball, and light refreshments.

Intercollegiate Alumni Party with Out Professionals at the DL Rooftop

BAPA Collab Event: This month’s Ivy+ Intercollegiate Party takes us to a beautiful new rooftop venue as we celebrate Pride at a joint event with Out Professionals. Co-hosted by BAPA along with Queer Princeton Alumni, Harvard GSC, and the NYU LGBTQ+ Alumni Network.

Book Discussion: No Son of Mine

BAPA Collab Event: Meet author Jonathan Corcoran ‘07 for a discussion of his new memoir, No Son of Mine, co-hosted by Brown Club of DC & BAPA. The acclaimed book touches heavily on the author’s journey from Appalachia to Brown as a queer, first-generation student.

Pride Celebration LGBTQ* Mixer at Licht Cafe

Partner Event: The bi-monthly DC mixer series returns to Licht Cafe on U street just in time for Pride! Join Ivy alumni and friends to mingle, build friendships, and plan future events. Hosted by the Harvard Club of DC.

LGBTQ Intercollegiate Happy Hour at Rocco’s

Partner Event: The Pride Alliance monthly event comes to Rocco’s in West Hollywood for a post-Pride meetup! Hosted by PennGALA, Queer Princeton Alumni, Cornell Pride, and the NYU Alumni Association.

Cosmos Dreaming: Art Show and Private Tour

Member Spotlight Event: Take a trip to Governor’s Island to see a new show of paintings by Huey-Min Chuang ‘94, hosted by Queer Princeton Alumni. Enjoy a tour of the show from the artist, followed by food and beverages at Taco Vista at the ferry dock.

Lives Beyond Motion: Documentary Screening

BAPA Collab Event: Join us for a special screening of Lives Beyond Motion, an in-depth documentary about men in contemporary dance, directed by Keith Glassman ‘76. Co-hosted by Brown Club of Orange County and BAPA, the event will include a Q&A with the filmmakers and cast members.
