Christmas Concerts

At Christmas time, our Infant aged children (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2), develop their acting and singing skills through performing different productions.

The Reception children perform a selection of songs and a short play in front of a small audience. The audience are then invited back to the classroom to take part in some Christmas themed activities with their children. There are two of these performances, the first is at the start of the school day at 9:30 am and the second is at the end of the school day at 2:30 pm. These are arranged to minimise disruption for parents so that they can either drop their child off and stay for a performance; or arrive early to watch a performance and then go straight home afterwards.

The Year 1 and Year 2 children perform together in two separate, short plays which each include a number of songs. The titles change, but are usually based on either the nativity or a Santa Claus theme. Again, there is one performance at the start of the school day and one at the end of the school day to try to accomodate the needs of different parents.

Each of these events is ticket only. School will send out a letter a few weeks before the event with details of how to purchase a ticket. Tickets for adults must be paid for, whilst tickets for pre-school children who are attending with their parents are free of charge. Money raised from ticket sales is used to help fund the costumes, props and other production equipment, with any excess being used to purchase resources for the children.
