Scripture to Consider:
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house." — Matthew 5:14–15
The Focus: It is easy to treat our faith like a shelter to hide in rather than a launchpad to move from. Today, ask God to confront any consumer mindsets in your heart. Pray that your times of worship and prayer would serve to fuel your outward mission, not insulate you from a hurting world.
Heart Questions:
Is my relationship with God currently designed to keep me safe and comfortable, or is it pushing me out to serve others?
What is one personal "comfort zone" I need to ask the Holy Spirit to break me out of this week?

Tuesday: Seeing the Invisible
Scripture to Consider:
"When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." — Matthew 9:36
The Focus: Society excels at writing people off and making the broken feel invisible. Today, pray for "Kingdom eyes." Ask the Holy Spirit to interrupt your daily commute, your grocery store run, or your neighborhood walk so that you see people the way Jesus sees them.
Heart Questions:
Who are the "invisible" people in your daily routine (a difficult coworker, a homeless person, a lonely neighbor) that you routinely look right past?
How can you ask the Holy Spirit to change your immediate reaction to brokenness from judgment to genuine compassion?

Wednesday: Prayers That Spill Over
Scripture to Consider:
"Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting... When they heard this sound, a crowd came together in bewilderment..." — Acts 2:2, 6
The Focus: The Holy Spirit did not stay contained within the four walls of the Upper Room; the sound spilled into the public marketplace. Today, pray that the spiritual reality of your private prayer life becomes noticeable to the people around you.
Heart Questions:
Does the peace and power you experience in prayer ever "spill over" into your public spaces, or does it stay locked inside your church building?
What would it look like for your home or workplace to feel the supernatural overflow of your prayers today?
Thursday: Welcoming the Mess
Thursday: Welcoming the Mess
Scripture to Consider:
"On hearing this, Jesus said to them, 'It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.'" — Mark 2:17
The Focus: A praying church is a messy church because it attracts people who don't have their lives put together yet. Today, pray for a heart that embraces spiritual messiness. Ask God to remove any religious pride that makes you clean up your appearance before you feel acceptable to Him or others.
Heart Questions:
Are there certain people or environments you avoid simply because they are too messy, unpredictable, or uncomfortable for you to engage with?
How can you help make your small group, your family, and our church a safer landing place for people who are currently in crisis?
Friday: The Boldness of the Sidewalk
Friday: The Boldness of the Sidewalk
Scripture to Consider:
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes..." — Romans 1:16
The Focus: Peter didn't preach his first sermon in a temple; he preached it out on a public street to a cynical, mocking crowd. Today, pray for the courage to speak up. Ask God to give you the exact words to say when a moment opens up to share His hope with someone who is running on empty.
Heart Questions:
When was the last time you felt a holy nudge to share the hope of Jesus or offer to pray with someone outside of church?
What specific fear (rejection, awkwardness, not knowing enough) is holding you back from speaking boldly when opportunities arise?
Saturday: Preparing for the Harvest
Saturday: Preparing for the Harvest
Scripture to Consider:
"He told them, 'The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.'" — Luke 10:2
The Focus: As you prepare your heart for tomorrow's gathering, pray as a worker in the harvest, not just an audience member at a show. Ask God to bring the broken, the skeptical, and the searching through our church doors tomorrow, and pray that we are fully ready to receive them.
Heart Questions:
Are you arriving at church tomorrow expecting a polite, predictable worship experience, or are you expecting God to bring in people straight out of the streets?
