Course Information and Objectives
In this course, students will produce a creative, innovative, and timeless yearbook for the 2018-2019 school year. While recording school memories and events, students will also be given the opportunity to gain skills in one or more of the following areas: journalism techniques and ethics, page and web design, editing and photography, and advanced publishing techniques. Students will gain useful, real world skills in time management, marketing, teamwork, and design principles.
- Yearbook class will be using Google Classroom this year. Google Classroom allows me to create and collect assignments online. This will make turning in digital photographs, page layouts, and other assignments much easier. Students can keep track of what's due on the Assignments page and begin working with a click. Students should login with your Google Apps account. To access Google Classroom, visit: http://classroom.google.com (remember you have to use your Google Chrome Browser)
- Our class calendar will be located on our google classroom as well, to ensure everyone knows what events are taking place, and where.
- We will use Sign Up Genius as a tool for making sure every school event is covered as far as taking pictures and interviews. We will use Remind as a tool to ensure everyone is on the same page for what events and assignments they are covering
