I did an art project for my personal project that focused on experimenting with various mediums. I created six different versions of a piece using various mediums to see how the materials affected the artwork. My goal was to learn about different ways to create art through research and practise, as well as to gain confidence while creating art.
Concepts for my artwork that I came up with when I first started thinking about what I wanted to make.
For my fourth piece, I decided to focus on sculpture as the medium. I used plastic bags, wire, and masking tape to create the form, and then layered over it with plaster of paris. Acrylic was used to paint over it and add details.
The first piece I completed on my iPad with an app called Procreate. I began my Personal Project with digital because it is the medium in which I have the most experience.

My fifth piece that was done with linocut (a medium where you carve out your art on a block and then print it, sort of like a stamp.)
My second piece, which I made with watercolour.

My third piece that was done with graphite, charcoal, and ink.

My sixth and final piece that was done with gouache (a type of paint that is similar to watercolour, but is more opaque.)
