Mark loves playing trombone and has taught brass instruments since the age of 14. Starting in the Salvation Army and then his local band, Mark enjoyed the challenge and precision of preparing a piece of music to the best of his ability - especially at competition level. At Birmingham Conservatoire he completed his BA (Hons) in Music and a Post Graduate Diploma in Musical Performance. 

He’s played with some of the best UK brass bands and in many places of the world with famous artists and ensembles. However, Mark finds most value in working with aspiring musicians looking to get the most out of their own playing. Since 2009 he has enjoyed living in Oman. 

Firstly working with the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra and now at the British School Muscat. Whether it be young or old, beginner or advanced, and in multicultural settings, Mark’s passion is helping people enjoy growing together using the medium of music. Always trying to learn, Mark’s next challenge - bass guitar!
