After completing his Masters in performance at College, he started his career working as a freelance musician. During this time he worked as a jazz saxophonist and clarinettist, performing in many jazz ensembles around Wales and the UK which included the Capital City Jazz Orchestra, Blackhawk Big Band and Richard Hamer’s Jazz Quartet. During this period of time he also performed extensively as a multi-instrumentalist in shows which included Phantom of the Opera, Guys and Dolls, Grease, Fiddler on the Roof, Hunchback of Notre Dame, West Side Story, Annie, White Christmas, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Oliver, Sweet Charity, Chicago, Hairspray, An American in Paris and many more. He has also performed as the principal clarinettist and principal bass clarinettist on recordings for original compositions by Rober Fokkens and also on recordings of ‘Music for Wind Band, by J. P. Sousa’ by NAXOS classical.

His music career has also included working closely with world leading artists in multiple genres, which included Jazz ensembles, Big Band, Funk, Soul Bands, Rock and Pop, Wind Bands and Classical Orchestra. These were artists such as Huw Warren, Steve Waterman, Mark Nightingale, Alan Barnes, Adrian Morton, Mike Lovatt, Ben Gernon, Mark Egar and more. 

Since leaving the UK in 2019, Jesse has worked as an instrumental tutor and Music Teacher at British School Muscat. He continues to perform regularly internationally and locally, in ensembles ranging from a German Oompah band to the West End orchestra.

He has recently completed his Quality Teacher Status program with British School Muscat.
