LTG in Kindergarten
At Bridgehampton, our Students 4C-ing the Future (S4CF) Program gives children hands-on ways to learn, explore, and grow. Students build skills like thinking, creating, working together, and sharing ideas—skills they’ll use every day in school and beyond.
Through project-based learning, children take on roles as designers, problem-solvers, and storytellers. For example, they might design a model of an animal habitat, document a science experiment with photos and drawings, or work in teams to create a class storybook. These projects connect what they’re learning in math, reading, science, and the arts in fun and meaningful ways.
We bring together the best of traditional teaching with exciting new tools like AI and augmented reality. Imagine children exploring a rainforest through AR goggles or using technology to bring their artwork to life—learning that feels engaging, exciting, and memorable for every child.
Collaboration and Communication
Our Kindergarten Restaurant Project
In Kindergarten, learning often looks like play—and our Kindergarten Restaurant is a perfect example! Students work together to turn the classroom into a pretend restaurant, taking on roles like chefs, servers, and customers.
While “running” the restaurant, children practice reading and writing by creating menus and order forms, math skills by counting money and adding bills, and social skills by greeting customers and working as a team. They also build creativity by designing food, decorating the space, and even using technology like iPads and Osmo to bring their ideas to life.
This project helps students practice critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity—all while having fun in a hands-on, real-world learning experience!
Storytelling & Literacy
Our Kindergarten Storytelling Project
Storytelling is a powerful way for children to learn and share ideas. In this project, students become authors and illustrators by creating their own class stories. They draw pictures, write simple sentences, and use puppets or props to bring their characters to life.
With the help of iPads and Osmo, children can record their voices, animate their drawings, or turn their stories into digital books. Along the way, they practice reading, writing, speaking, and listening, while building confidence in expressing themselves.
This project encourages imagination and helps students develop the essential skills of communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.
