On March 29^th, students in kindergarten-5^th grade participated in a wellness fair at our monthly PBIS assembly. Students rotated between six stations in order to discuss striving for an all-around healthy lifestyle. The students were provided a wellness log that we hope that as a family will be completed over spring break. The students should document there answers to each section of the log each day. If the students reach 70 points and hand the wellness log in on April 29, 2019, students will receive an award. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at your convenience.

Congratulations To The April PBIS Student Of The Month Award Winners!!!

Robotics Team In Quebec

Bridgehampton Robotics Team 5659, aka Team Supreme, had a very exciting and ultimately successful season this year competing in two regional competitions. The team’s first competition was held at Hofstra University with 48 seasoned teams competing from March 27^th-30^th. The team of 12 students spent much of the time at the Hofstra SPBLI Regional Competition making adjustments to the robot throughout the competition and was not ultimately chosen to be in a quarterfinal alliance. However, during this time the team was able to vastly improve the robot and gain valuable driving experience.

Team 5659 then travelled internationally, for the first time, to a second competition in Quebec City, Canada from April 2nd-7th. In addition to using their robotics skills, team members had to strategize and communicate with other teams in French! Other countries represented at this regional included Australia, Turkey, Mexico and USA. At Quebec’s Festivale de Robotique Regional Competition, Team 5659 achieved its best result to date coming in third place after advancing all the way to the semifinals and losing in a tie-breaker game.

The team looks forward to next year. All students 14-19 as well as junior members in grades 6-8 are welcome to join next year’s team. Team Supreme wishes senior and co-captain, James Fairchild, much luck and success as he moves on to post-secondary study. James has been a member of the team since 9^th grade and has served as captain and on the drive team for many of those years.
